The Mexican Parade NYC 2022 is New York City’s Mexican Independence Day Parade. It’s a celebration of Mexican culture. ¡Viva México!
The 28th Mexican Parade NYC 2022 marches proudly down Madison Avenue from 38th to 26th St through Murray Hill and Kips Bay to NoMad on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 11am – 2pm. Free. 🇲🇽
The parade is produced by Patricia Hernández, Mariano Hernández and the Comite Civico Mexicano de NY.
Actress and singer Rosa Gloria Chagollan is the parade Godmother. She is most famous for her role as Mexican action hero “Lola la trailera” (Lola the Trucker). Don’t mess with Lola.
She’s really a sweetheart. Here’s her song from 1983.
Banda singer Victoria “La Mala” is an invited guest. “Vete Mucho” is the song that made her famous. She calls herself a child of Tupac and Selena. Those are some parents.
