Mexicans Stephanie Sigman and Tenoch Huerta star in the bilingual podcast ‘Potato’ following a story of migration in the U.S.
The Potato podcast follows the story of Abigail Smith, the daughter of a Mexican woman and a white father, who works as an agent for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE).
Faced with two worlds because of her Mexican heritage and identity as an American immigration officer, as a child she was teased as a ‘potato’: Brown on the outside and white on the inside.
With that memory upon her shoulders since childhood, Abi has always believed that her duty is to protect the southern border of the United States until one day her undocumented brother Pedro gets deported back to Mexico.

In her journey to help her brother, Abi seems to discover more about herself and her late father, who also worked as a police officer.
Each episode will reveal more of the secrets Abi’s mother kept from her about her father, helping the young agent discover more about her identity as a Mexican-American woman and help her find her moral compass.

The suspenseful drama podcast stars well-known Mexican model and actress Stephanie Sigman (Spectre and Narcos) as Abi and well-known actor and Latin American community rights activist Tenoch Huerta (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) as Pedro.
Potato hopes to explore the confrontation between the naïveté of an American woman and the reality of a lawless frontier in a gripping story of divided families, loyalty and homeland.
The podcast is produced by Amazon-owned podcast studio Wondery and global entertainment company Sonoro. The script was composed by writer and screenwriter Samara Ibrahim.
The first eight episodes of the podcast, between 20 and 30 minutes long, are available on Amazon Music and Wondery+ starting on Nov. 1. It will also be available on all streaming platforms starting Tuesday, Nov. 15.
