The menu at Chick’n Pop features milk tea, coffee, fruit tea, chicken sandwiches, strips, and nuggets.
Opening under a soft opening pretense for the past week, they celebrated their grand opening on Tuesday, November 8.
I dropped by opening day and they were offering BOGO specials on chicken sandwiches and discounts on their drinks. When I asked what their most popular sandwich was, they recommended the Kitana Deluxe which was a chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, Swiss cheese and topped with Bomb sauce. If you’re curious what bomb sauce is, it’s similar to a yum yum sauce. For my drink, I went with the Thai Milk Tea.
The option was given to order an extra chicken sandwich for a dollar, and I offered that special to the customers behind me who went with the Samurai sandwich. For a dollar, I couldn’t pass up on the offer, but knew it would go to waste if I ordered the sandwich for myself.
Here was my meal.
Chick'n Pop
Let’s go from worst to first. The fries were a big letdown. They were very bland with no salt or seasoning on them, if there were, then I think I lost my sense of taste.
Fortunately, things went up from there. The milk tea was a satisfying drink, while the chicken sandwich was the best part of my meal. Drenched in Bomb sauce, the Kitana can be a very messy meal if you eat it fairly slowly. The sauce gave the sandwich a sweet, tangy flavor, but the jalapenos complimented it with a spicy kick. It was a thick piece of chicken that filled me up.
It was a worthwhile sandwich and one I would certainly order again, and just ask them to hold the fries.

We know the city’s full of chicken and boba options, but if you work at St. Joseph, live near east Harry, or happen to be in the area, this could be a worthwhile stop for you.
